Visit of a Delegation from the United Arab Emirates to Wrocław to Discuss Key Issues for the Development of Tourist Exchange between Poland and the Emirates, December 6-7, 2016

The Emirates & Europe Business Development Cluster and the UAE Embassy in Poland organized a visit of UAE representatives to Wrocław on December 6-7, 2016. The purpose of the talks included discussing the launch of more flight connections between the UAE and Poland to intensify the flow of tourists. Another topic addressed during the meetings was the tourism and cultural exchange between Poland and the UAE. The event was attended by representatives of the Sharjah government: H.E. Sheikh Fahim Bin Sultan Al-Qasimi and H.E. Sheikh Majid Bin Abdalla Al-Qasimi. Additionally, participants included representatives of the local government of Wrocław, the Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates, H.E. Yousif Eisa Hassan Eisa AlSabri, Vice President of the Emirates & Europe Business Development Cluster and translator Mr. Nebras Al Masny.

During the two-day visit, the UAE representatives had the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the city’s remarkable architecture. They also held fruitful discussions with administrative authorities, representatives of airlines, scientific and research entities, and organizations promoting the region. All meetings contributed to strengthening relations between the countries and solidifying plans to intensify tourism traffic.

EEBD plays a significant role in supporting the development of tourist exchange between Poland and the United Arab Emirates. Poland boasts exceptional tourist assets, offering a highly diverse natural environment, including the green area of Mazovia, where water tourism is thriving, as well as picturesque mountains and access to the sea. Poland has also become an important center for medical tourism worldwide, attracting visitors with high-quality treatments, a wide range of spas, and rich thermal deposits. Equally attractive for tourism is Sharjah, the third-largest city in the Emirates. In 2014, it was declared the Arab Tourism Capital by the Arab Ministerial Council for Tourism. Located on the Arabian Peninsula by the Persian Gulf, it features unique sites showcasing centuries-old heritage, such as the Art Museum, the Archaeological Museum, and the Museum of Islamic Civilization.

The Emirates & Europe Business Development Cluster (EEBD), co-organizer of the visit, focuses on business projects and investment financing, providing international capital from Europe and the United Arab Emirates. The cluster supports initiatives aimed at increasing the number of international investments and trade development between Europe and the UAE. It also organizes events promoting European-Emirati partnerships, such as the Emirates & Europe Economic Forum.
