Economic Forum Poland – Republic of Tunisia
The Polish-Tunisian Business Forum was held on December 5, 2024, at the headquarters of the Polish Chamber of Commerce (KIG) on Trębacka Street 4 in Warsaw. The event was organized by KIG, CONECT International, and the Embassy of Tunisia in Warsaw, with the support of the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Tunis and the Polish Investment and Trade Agency (PAIH).
The Forum provided an excellent opportunity to learn about the current prospects for cooperation in the Tunisian market and to establish direct connections with Tunisian entrepreneurs. The Tunisian delegation was led by the President of the CONECT Confederation, Mr. Aslan Berjeb. It included entrepreneurs representing sectors such as agri-food, automotive, IT, construction, plastics processing and recycling, textiles, furniture, and cosmetics.
The program of the event featured an official segment and a networking session, enabling participants to establish direct business relationships. The primary language of the meeting was English, but discussions with business representatives were also conducted in French and Arabic.
Trade between Poland and Tunisia remains on a steady upward trend, largely based on the cooperation of facilities where many Tunisian factories act as subcontractors for Polish companies. Significant opportunities exist to increase Polish exports and implement joint ventures in many traditional sectors, along with a growing demand for new technologies in the IT and telecommunications sectors. Additionally, there is a focus on modern solutions in energy transformation, emphasizing carbon footprint reduction and the production of zero-emission energy and hydrogen.
The Polish-Tunisian Business Forum served as an important platform for deepening economic cooperation between Poland and Tunisia, offering participants the chance to establish valuable business contacts and explore cooperation opportunities in the Tunisian market.
