On September 27, 2024, at the Crowne Plaza Warsaw – The HUB hotel at Rondo Daszyńskiego 2 in Warsaw, the Green HUB PL Energy Forum: Energy Transformation and Hydrogen Technologies took place. Green HUB PL is the largest business and financial organization operating in the field of industrial decarbonization and the delivery of innovative technological solutions as part of Poland’s Free Energy Transformation Program.
The Green HUB PL Energy Forum gathered over 350 participants, including international representatives from 40 countries around the world, giving the event a unique, global character. During 5 discussion panels, key and current issues concerning Poland’s energy and economic security, as well as the future of zero-emission energy, were addressed. Topics such as energy transformation – its goals and market practices – and hydrogen technologies and their practical applications sparked lively and substantive discussions among experts from various sectors.
One of the most important moments of the Forum was the presentation of the prestigious Innovation Awards, which honored outstanding specialists and companies significantly impacting the development of the energy sector in Poland. The event was enriched by a performance from the band Blue Cafe, which provided participants with unforgettable entertainment at the end of the conference.

Within these activities, it offers the comprehensive construction, financing, and maintenance of an Autonomous Power System, operating continuously for 8,760 hours per year and producing only clean, zero-emission energy sourced from the environment.
The proposed business model allows for the complete elimination of purchasing black energy, gas, and fossil fuels “from the outside” without incurring investment costs. This organizational concept reduces energy purchase costs by 30-50% without capital involvement. The investment process costs of the Green HUB PL “Free Energy Transformation” Program are fully financed by the organization itself. The client only pays based on the invoice for current energy consumption.

1. What is the purpose of organizing the Green HUB PL Energy Forum, given that similar events are already held?
The Green HUB PL Energy Forum is a unique event aimed at deeply analyzing the specific challenges Poland faces in the context of energy transformation and upcoming regulatory changes, such as the Carbon Tax, which will come into effect on January 1, 2027. As Green HUB PL, an organization founded on June 14, 2024, our main goal is to unite Polish entrepreneurs, investors, local governments, and institutions to work on a coherent strategy that we can present to the government. Our Forum does not replicate the content of other events but focuses on creating a space for substantive debate and the exchange of experiences, taking into account the specific conditions of the Polish energy sector.
By organizing this Forum, we aim to highlight the need for strong, central leadership to coordinate the energy sector’s activities, which is crucial for ensuring Poland’s energy security and reducing the costs associated with the implementation of the Carbon Tax. As of September 9, 2024, the Women’s Council has joined us, supporting our actions both substantively and advisory-wise. Additionally, a Security Council will be established.
2. What can we do to minimize the effects of neglect and avoid economic collapse due to the Carbon Tax?
To minimize the effects of previous neglect and avoid an economic collapse caused by the Carbon Tax, it is crucial to take swift and decisive action. First, we must address the delays in the development of renewable energy sources (RES), which result from regulations such as the “distance law” blocking the development of wind energy, as well as issues with expanding transmission networks. The energy transmission market also needs decentralization, as it currently limits the integration of RES into the energy system.
Second, it is essential to develop a coherent, central strategy for the growth of RES and local energy sources, such as energy cooperatives and clusters, and to invest in future technologies, such as hydrogen technologies. Poland has significant potential in this area, but there is a lack of implementation strategy. The introduction of “Hydrogen Valleys” and the training of specialists could significantly accelerate the development of this sector.
At the same time, we propose that the government negotiate with the European Union to extend the deadline for the implementation of the Carbon Tax, giving Poland more time to implement effective transformation measures.
3. What do we understand by energy transformation, and why is it important?
Energy transformation is the process of changing the way energy is produced and consumed, with the goal of improving energy efficiency and reducing CO₂ emissions, primarily through the development of renewable energy sources. It involves modernizing energy infrastructure, increasing the share of RES, eliminating energy losses, and introducing modern technologies. This transformation not only improves energy efficiency, reducing costs for businesses and households, but also contributes to combating climate change by reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
For Poland, energy transformation is crucial for three reasons. First, it allows for energy independence from fossil fuel imports, increasing the country’s energy security. Second, reducing CO₂ emissions helps meet international climate commitments and avoid financial penalties, including the Carbon Tax. Third, energy transformation stimulates technological and economic development, creating new jobs and investments in modern technologies such as hydrogen-based solutions.
4. What is the significance of hydrogen technologies in the development of energy, mobility, and environmental protection?
Hydrogen technologies play a key role in the future of energy and mobility, as hydrogen can replace traditional fossil fuels in many sectors, contributing to a significant reduction in CO₂ emissions. Hydrogen, especially so-called “green hydrogen” produced from renewable energy sources, has enormous potential for decarbonizing industry, transport, and energy.
In Poland, hydrogen technologies could become one of the pillars of the energy transformation, replacing natural gas, fuel oil, or coal in industry and energy production. Additionally, hydrogen could be essential in the development of zero-emission vehicles, helping reduce air pollution in cities. However, the challenge lies in the need to create the necessary infrastructure, from production to distribution to hydrogen storage.
The development of hydrogen technologies requires an integrated approach and strategic investments, enabling Poland to fully leverage its potential in this field and become a leader in the region.
5. How does the development of artificial intelligence (AI) affect the management of various aspects of life?
Artificial intelligence (AI) has a significant impact on various sectors by automating decision-making processes, analyzing real-time data, and supporting management. In energy, AI optimizes energy consumption and enables better management of transmission systems, which is crucial in the context of energy transformation and combating the climate crisis.
In medicine, AI aids in faster and more accurate disease diagnosis; in education, it personalizes the learning process; and in finance, it increases security by analyzing customer data and detecting fraud. AI also transforms industries and mobility, supporting the development of autonomous vehicles and smart cities. Despite AI’s vast capabilities, final decisions still rest with humans, as our emotions, creativity, and individual preferences cannot be fully replaced by algorithms.
It is crucial to use artificial intelligence wisely to support economic and technological development, while ensuring space for human oversight and creativity.
